HAT Mauritania - 2018 / 2019

/
Decline an invitation for the Christmas holiday in the Sahara of Mauritania? No, we don't do that. With the old army trucks from Holland Afrika Tour (HAT) we go on an adventure. Onno is asked to create the routes. As many offroad tracks as possible. If possible, but also if we do not know if it is possible. The expedition leader Jim does like a challenge.

Japan - 2018

/
Japan as a destination in the resit. In 2011 the brand new trip was canceled the next day because of the Tsunami. Knowing that in 2019 the off-road vehicle comes out of the garage for good, we choose a country with conventional transport: Japan. It became a versatile journey that is high on our ranking of top destinations.

Morocco - 2017

/
A country with many varied options for off-road driving. Atlas mountains, endless wide open plains and sand in the desert in the south. The legendary Dakar pistes broaden our off-road experience. Occasionally, all three differentials must be adjusted, so that the four wheels look for grip independently of each other in order to reach the destination.

HAT Togo - Morocco - 2017

/
In the spring of 2017, I, Ingrid, made a trip with Holland Africa Tour (HAT) from Togo to Morocco with MAN KAT 1 trucks. Unfortunately, Onno was unable to get free from work for this four-week adventure. But luckily he was able to ride 'digitally' and even helped us from a distance when we were lost in the Sahel.

Alps unpaved - 2016

/
Adventure on the historical legacy of the armed forces. Swing through the French - Italian Alps on unpaved old military mountain roads of barely one car wide. Continue to steer cold-blooded as the abyss plunges straight into the depth hundreds of meters.

Australia - part 3 - 2016

/
The Australian fall gives pleasant temperatures in the outback. We are spared the sweltering heat. We do experience the desolation and in the days there are no people on the offroad tracks. For the first time we have brought a satellite telephone. For safety.

Australia - part 2 - 2015 / 2016

/
In our winter, summer comes in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Before the Christmas holidays we fly back to Cairns where we ended the previous trip. We celebrate Christmas on the beach between the numerous families and spend New Year's Eve at Sydney Opera House with traditional fireworks. We are just real Aussies.

Australia - part 1 - 2015

/
Three months traveling through Australia with your own car. How can we make that possible? We divide the trip into three parts: West & North, East & South and the Center. Each trip lasts a month and is interrupted by 2 or 3 months of work. In the meantime, the car remains in Australia. Part 1 goes through Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland, the dry season takes care of summer every day.

Iceland - 2014

/
Untouched nature, the primal forces of the earth and turbulent weather conditions: Iceland has it all. A journey through this beautiful country where especially the vast and lonely interior makes an impression. Mysteriously bubbling and boiling pools of water in a cold and foggy environment full of whimsical rocks. We do understand that the Icelanders believe in elves and trolls.

Amsterdam - Singapore - 2013

/
The freshest 'overland' journey that is possible without crossing water. Autumn in the Baltic States, frosty winter in Siberia & Mongolia, spring in China and tropical weather from Vietnam via Laos, Thailand and Malaysia to Singapore. Slowly we see the face and clothing change into a new culture. The lack of roads, or the roads themselves, make for a challenging journey. We are euphorically happy when we enter Singapore on New Year's Eve without any tears. We made it!

Russia and Mongolia - 2012

/
Fortunately, a rental off-road vehicle can be found in Mongolia without the standard driver supplied. Explore the vast tundra and steppe areas yourself while driving. We are surprised by the changing view that results in an hour's drive. What a contrast with endless views of countless birch trees from the Trans Siberia Express, which brought us from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar.

Namibia - 2011

/
Our first "offroad" adventure! With a rented 4x4 car with roof tent through incredibly beautiful Namibia. This was the breeding ground for our hunger for adventure travel. The autonomy to choose a destination in the knowledge that the car brings us there through every terrain. The independence to go wherever we want and always our sleeping place immediately within reach. For us the ultimate feeling of freedom.
